Many Civil Aircraft Modelers love Airmodels VFW 614. The original Airplane was ahead of its time and should have been more successful than it was finaly. Especially the engines which were mounted above the wings were extremely innovative in terms of noise reduction. Mr Carmal J. Attard from Malta was one of the first to try out the new resin parts. Decals were not yet available at the time.

The kit:     
2010 the airmodel kit of the VFW 614 had been revised partially. The clear parts had been rebuilt completely.

Also the already mentioned Resin-add-on was available later. Additionaly then 3 different Decal variants were available lately too. This luxury version now is offered in a nice box with colour art. But you can still order the kit without all these helpfull add-ons.

 

Assembly and paint job:     

As usual the kitparts have to be removed from the sheet with an exacto knife and the parts have to be sanded down to their proper shape.

The inside becomes alive with a little paint. Many details will not be visible through the little fuselage windows.

It´s quite different with the cockpit. Here it is worth carefully working out the details. Airmodels resin parts helping a lot.  
The Assembly is finished. The model is prepared for a flawless finish.
