Horten Ho VII RESINKIT
Scale 1/72
Von der Horten Ho VII wurden bis 1945 zwei
Prototypen gebaut, von denen nur die V-1 ausgedehnte Probeflüge absolvierte. Die
V-2 war bis Kriegsende fertig gestellt oder nahezu flugfähig. Der Erstflug der
V-1 erfolgte noch im Jahr 1943 unter den Piloten Scheidhauer und Waldemar
Horten.
Geplant und konzipiert wurde die Horten Ho VII als Schulflugzeug für die Horten
IX / Gotha Go 229. Unter anderem das Kriegsende stoppten weitere Entwicklung und
Fertigung von 20 bereits bestellten Modellen.
Der Bausatz wurde komplett überarbeitet, bekannte
Fehler korrigiert (unter anderem Kühler vor den hinterem Fahrwerk) und mit mehr
Details versehen
Two prototypes of the Horten Ho VII were built until
1945, of which only the V-1 completed expanded test flights. The V-2 had been
nearly finished, or was almost airworthy by the end of war. The first flight of
the V-1 took place as early as 1943. The pilots were Scheidhauer and Waldemar
Horton himself. The Horten Ho VII was and conceived as trainer aircraft for the
Horten Ho IX / Gotha Go 229. Among other things the end of the war stopped
further development and manufacturing of 20 already ordered planes.
The kit had been completely revised, known errors have been corrected (among
other things radiator intakes in front of the rear landing gear) and more
details have been added.

Rechts: Es wurden einige Teile korrigiert
und jede Menge Details hinzugefügt. Der Bausatz enthält nun doppelt so viele
Teile, wie der alte Airmodel Bausatz.
On the left side the original kit....
Right: Several parts had been corrected compared to the
old kit. Additionaly details added. The new kit now contains twize as much
kitparts as the old kit..
Links: unter anderem erhielt der Bausatz nun eine Auspuffanlage. Hier der
Urmodellbau.
Rechts: Die daraus resultierenden Teile im Bausatz.
Left: One of the new details is the exhaust of the Argus AS-10 engine. The
picture shows the master piece..
Right: The resulting kitparts.
Links: Die meisten Teile können direkt am Anguss lackiert werden. Die gute
Gussqualität ermöglicht dies ohne viel Arbeit am Bauteil.
Rechts: Im Cockpit sind einige Details im Bausatz verbessert worden.
Left: The most parts had been painted on their spues. The nice
moldingtechnology alows working with a minimum of sanding before painting
Right: The Cockpit now has a lot more details.
Das Modell wurde "out-of-the-box" gebaut. Die Landeklappen sind die einzigen
zusätzlich gefertigten Teile!
The model itself had been built "out-of-the-box". The landing flaps are the only
parts I built additionaly..
Das Fahrwerk war auch im Original recht einfach konstruiert. Ich habe noch die
Bremsleitungen angebracht.
The landing gear origianaly shows a very basic construction. I only added wires
for the brakes.
Die Oberseite wurde mit RLM 71, die Unterseite mit RLM 65 lackiert. Auf den
Bildern erkannt man, dass das washing bereits nach einer Schicht Klarlack
aufgetragen wurde..
The uppersite had been painted RLM 71, the under site RLM 65. You can see that
the washing already had been applied after I sealed the complete surface with
clear cote.
