 Noch im März 1945
schlug Alexander Lippisch einen Hochgeschwindigkeitsjäger vor, der aus Gründen
Zeit- und Kostenersparnis aus Teilen der Me 163 B und C, der He 162 und der Ju
248 zusammengesetzt werden sollte. Als Triebwerk war ein He S 011 vorgesehen.
Das Hauptfahrwerk sollte von einer Bf 109 übernommen werden. Lippisch errechnete
für die P 15 mit eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 1000 km/h.
Das Ende des Krieges beendeten alle weiteren Arbeiten an dem Entwurf. das
Projekt kam nie über den Entwicklungsstatus hinaus.
Der Bausatz wurde
komplett überarbeitet (Lufteinlass Triebwerk und Düse offen) und mit mehr
Details versehen (Cockpit, Fahrwerke).

A development of the Me 163, the P 15 was powered by
a single centrally mounted He S 011 A turbo-jet. The nose of the aircraft,
housing two Mk 108 30 mm cannons, was to be taken from the He 162. The wings
were from the Me 163, their span being increased by the location of the air
intakes in each leading-edge wing root. Other borrowed parts included the Bf 109
main undercarriage. The maximum speed had been calculated at 1000 km/h.
The end of the war stopped any further developments. In the early 50´s Northrop
developed and tested the X-4 “Bantham”. Its design was very similar to the P
15..
The kit has been completely
reworked, known errors have been corrected (among other things radiator intakes
in front of the rear landing gear) and more details have been added.
