Anfang 1944 wurde die Konstruktion der Me 265 für einen Jagdbomber aufgegriffen. Die Me 265 war ein schwanzloser Nurflügler, der aus der Me 210 hervorging! Von der Me 210 wurde das Rumpfforderteil, Teile des Seitenleitwerkes und die gesamte Bewaffnung übernommen und von Lippisch konstruiert! Bei beiden Flugzeugen wirkten die Propeller als Druckpropeller. 
2 x 1745 PS Daimler Benz Motoren DB 603 sorgten ebenfalls bei beiden Flugzeugen für den Schub! 
Ende 1944 wurde ein fliegendes Modell der Me 329 ohne Triebwerke im Schlepp- ind Gleitflug in Rechlin erprobt. Zu einer Bauausführung des Originalmusters kam es nicht mehr!

At the beginning of 1944 the Me 329 had been developed from the basic plane of the Me 265! The Me 265 was a "flying wing" without tail that had been developed from the Me 210... better significant pieces from the Me 210 had been used to construct the Me 265 (front fuselage, tail wing and armament)! Both planes had two propellors mounted powered from two x 1745 hp Daimler Benz DB 603.
At the end of 1944 one flying version of the Me 329 without engines started for test gliding flights from Rechlin. No further versiones had been build untill the end of the war!
